California-based Dog Haus plans to bring three locations of its franchise to Alabama.

The company offers gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers, plant-based and fried chicken offerings and a full bar.

Dog Haus today announced an area development agreement with husband-and-wife team Bhawesh and Shivani Malhotra for three future Dog Haus Biergarten restaurants.

The exact locations in Alabama have yet to be announced.

Dog Haus’ menu features gourmet hot dogs and sausages free of all added nitrates and nitrites,100% Black Angus beef with no hormones and no antibiotics, and 100% all-natural chicken breasts with no hormones and no antibiotics, all served on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls.

The bar offers more than 24 beers on tap, bottles and cans, plus a variety of Haus creation cocktails, curated by Mixologist Phil Wills.

Dog Haus Executive Vice President of Franchise Development Erik Hartung said the restaurant should be a “perfect fit for SEC country.”

“We’re thrilled to be working with a family like the Malhotras that is dedicated to making our entry into Alabama a success,” Hartung said. “The Southeast is a new territory for us, but one that is a fantastic fit for our sense of food, fun and hospitality.”

Bhawesh Malhotra is currently on the executive team of a modular building company after a career in the auto industry, while Shivani has restaurant experience.

“We have been wanting to build something of our own for some time and Dog Haus was the best opportunity to do that,” Bhawesh Malhotra said in a statement.
