Dothan High coach Jed Kennedy suspended following shoving incident

Dothan head football coach Jed Kennedy will be suspended from all activities for one week but will not lose his job following a shoving incident on the sideline of the Wolves’ win over Opelika on Friday night.

The suspension was announced during a Dothan City Schools press conference Monday afternoon. Athletic director Jessica Noble announced the suspension. Superintendent Dennis Coe said there would be financial implications as well, though he did not specify exactly how much.

Justin Jones will be the interim coach during the Wolves’ game at Jeff Davis on Friday. Kennedy’s suspension starts today. He will be eligible to return next Monday.
