Woman charged with murder in fatal shooting of east Alabama man
A woman is behind bars in Calhoun County, accused of killing a man Monday night.
Anniston police were dispatched at 10:15 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 2300 block of Adams Street. When they arrived, they found 39-year-old Jonathan Walter Golson dead from multiple gunshot wounds, said Capt. Matt Caballero.
During the investigation, Weaver police officers made contact with a possible suspect. No additional details were made public, but police charged 35-year-old Misty Lashea Hardy with murder in Golson’s death.
Hardy was booked into the Calhoun County Jail on Tuesday and remains held.
Police said no further information will be released at this time.
