America’s birthday is all about fireworks. The food doesn’t hurt, either.

• Burgers at the choice for 85% of Independence Day partiers, followed by steak, hot dogs and chicken.
• About 150 million hotdogs are consumed in the U.S. every July 4th
• 5% of national beer consumption takes place in the days around July 4th, equaling about 68.3 million cases of beer.
• Corn, potato and other veggies are the most popular grilled side dishes.

No matter what you plan on enjoying this Independence Day, you will be happy to know the nation’s largest retailer is open on that day.

Walmart will be open on July 4th. Most stores will be open regular hours, 6 a.m.-11 p.m. for Superstores. Some services such as auto centers or pharmacies may have shortened hours so be sure to check ahead.

That means if you’ve forgotten some items – or just need a new pool float – you can run by Walmart on July 4th to grab what you need.
