Baldwin County Commission chair talks keeping up with growth

Now in his fifth term on the Baldwin County Commission, Charles “Skip” Gruber has seen a lot of the changes in the county over the last decade. Gruber currently serves as the chair of the commission.

A Baldwin County native, Gruber previously served as mayor of Elberta and on the Town Council. He worked for the Baldwin County Commission for 30 years.

As Baldwin County grows, new challenges related to infrastructure arise. At the same time, in recent months, the county commission has faced increased scrutiny when three senior officials in the county departed, and one legislator proposed adding a fifth commissioner to the commission. Gruber discusses those challenges here.
