A Birmingham man was killed early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Shelby County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Devan L. Fields. He was 36.

Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal said Fields was driving a Honda CBR1000 motorcycle that left the road and struck a ditch. Fields was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing by state troopers.
