Two more tornadoes confirmed from last week’s storms

Alabama’s weeklong streak of severe weather resulted in seven confirmed tornadoes on four different days, according to information from the National Weather Service offices across the state.

The weather service in Mobile recently added two tornadoes to the count from the week, one from June 16 and one from June 19:

Other tornadoes were reported on June 14 and June 17 in different parts of the state.

There was one tornado in south-central Alabama, and the rest of the twisters were in south Alabama, mainly southwest Alabama.

There was sporadic damage reported from the tornadoes, but no injuries.

Here’s a look at the tornadoes from last week:

JUNE 14

* Clayton Road Tornado (Barbour County): EF­1, top winds 110 mph. Path length 3.89 miles; path width 350 yards. No injuries. The tornado touched down at 12:09 p.m. on June 14 between Sandy Lane West west of Highway 30 west of Barbour Creek in Eufaula and was on the ground for about 11 minutes. The tornado damaged trees, some of which fell onto a church and others onto a home. Damage was also reported to the roof of an apartment complex.

* Henry County Tornado (Henry County): EF-1, top winds 100 mph. Path length 2.157 miles; path width 160 yards. No injuries. The tornado touched down at 10:40 a.m. on June 14 west of U.S. Highway 431 and was on the ground for 15 minutes. It damaged several outbuildings, an office building and two homes. Several cemetery monuments were also toppled.

JUNE 16

* Loxley Tornado (Baldwin County): EF-0, top winds 80 mph. Path length 0.29 miles; path width 75 yards. No injuries. The tornado touched down at 12:21 a.m. June 16 on the south side of County Road 64 just west of the County Road 66 intersection. It was on the ground for about a minute and damaged a few trees.

* Mobile River Delta Tornado (Mobile and Baldwin counties): EF-1, top winds 95 mph. Path length 7.23 miles; path width 30 yards. No injuries. The tornado touched down at 8 a.m. on June 16 just west of the Mobile River and was on the ground for about seven minutes. The weather service noted this was a rare anticyclonic tornado. The tornado damaged trees along its path.

JUNE 17

* Elsanor Tornado (Baldwin County): EF-0, top winds 75 mph. Path length 3.56 miles; path width 20 yards. No injuries. The tornado touched down at 4:30 p.m. June 17 just north of Interstate 10 and west of County Road 87, and it was on the ground for about 17 minutes. Tree damage was reported along its path.

* Irvington Tornado (Mobile County): EF-0, top winds 80 mph. Path length 3.92 miles; path width 80 yards. No injuries. The tornado touched down at 12:21 a.m. on June 17 just south of Old Pascagoula Road and was on the ground for about seven minutes. The tornado did minor damage to two manufactured homes and a farm outbuilding as well as numerous trees.

JUNE 19

* Magnolia Springs Tornado (Baldwin County): EF-1, top winds 100 mph. Path length 0.51 miles; path width 230 yards. No injuries. The tornado touched down at 1 p.m. June 19 just west of Benton Road and was on the ground for about three minutes. The tornado took off the roof a farm building, destroyed an outbuilding and damaged a garage in addition to numerous trees.
