An Anniston man was killed early today when he was hit by a vehicle after he had exited his own vehicle following a Talladega County traffic accident.

The wreck happened about 3:20 a.m. on Priebes Mill Road, about five miles north of Talladega, said Senior Alabama State Trooper Justin O’Neal.

The victim has been identified as Davis M. Turner. He was 20.

O’Neal said Turner had been involved in a traffic accident and had exited his vehicle. He was standing on Priebes Mill Road when he was struck by a Ford Explorer driven by 59-year-old Loyd Brown.

Turner was pronounced dead on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
