A 20-year-old man was shot to death at a Mobile motel Tuesday night, according to Mobile police.

Officers were dispatched to the Spanish Oaks Inn on Spanish Trail Drive just before 8 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found the victim and he was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police did not indicate if the victim was found inside a room at the extended stay motel or in the parking lot.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Mobile police will not release additional details “to preserve the integrity of the investigation.”
