The Wharf expansion under way in Orange Beach

The owners of Kidz Future Learning Academy, a day care center, have purchased the building they were leasing at 5739 Old Pascagoula Road in Mobile, according to Cameron Weavil of The Weavil Company, who handled the transaction. The purchase price was $414,000.

The Wharf’s newest project, Portside on Main, has officially launched and will include more than 33,000 square feet of retail, office and entertainment space along Main Street at The Wharf in Orange Beach. The first level will feature retail space and a beer brewery. The expansion will include 26,000 square feet of green and open space with an outdoor stage.

Watch for several RV parks to be developed in Baldwin County, according to the Baldwin County Planning Commision. They include Sunset Ridge Mobile Home Park with 44 units on Ala 104 just west of Silverhill; Palm Park West, 14 units on South Boulevard in Silverhill; and Club RV Park, 231 units on Brinks Willis Road north of Keller Road in Foley.

Fluffy’s Pet Store has leased 1,598 square feet of space in downtown OWA off the Foley Beach Express in Foley, and plans to open this fall, according to Angela McArthur of Stirling Properties, who represented the landlord. Downtown OWA offers dining, shopping and entertainment just outside the park gates at OWA.

Red Door Marketing has leased a 1,363-square-foot office at The Wharf off Canal Road in Orange Beach, according to Steadman Bethea and Jeff Barnes of Stirling Properties, who represented the landlord.

Maddy & Myla’s Boutique has opened in 1,200 square feet of space in Schillinger Place Shopping Center at 2502 S. Schillinger Road in Mobile, according to Kaelan McArthur of Stirling Properties, who represented the landlord.
