Meet the 10 best Alabama HS baseball players in 2023
The Alabama Sports Writers Association Super All-State Baseball Team for 2023 includes six players of the year from their respective classifications.
The team is led by Mr. Baseball Hayes Harrison of Oxford. Harrison also was named Class 6A Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year.
Here is a look at the top 10 high school baseball players in the state of Alabama for the 2023 season as voted on by the ASWA.

Hayes Harrison, Oxford (state champion)
Class: Senior
Position: Pitcher, first baseman
College: Northwest Shoals
Awards: ASWA Mr. Baseball, Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year, Class 6A Pitcher and Player of the Year, MVP of Class 6A championship series
Statistics: Harrison went 13-0 on the mound for the Yellow Jackets. In 71 innings pitched, he struck out 82 and had a 1.28 ERA. He allowed 43 hits and just 11 walks. At the plate, he hit .382 and drove in 38 runs.

Awards: Class 7A Player of the Year
Statistics: Harris hit .430 for the Class 7A state champs with 5 homers, 15 doubles and 38 RBIs. He also scored 35 runs. In limited duty on the mound, he was 3-0.

Position: Pitcher, outfielder
College: Snead State
Awards: Class 4A Player of the Year
Statistics: Freeman hit .377 for the Blue Devils with 21 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He stole 32 bases in 33 attempts. He was 9-3 on the mound with a save. He struck out 86.

Awards: Class 5A Player of the Year, MVP of Class 5A title series
Statistics: Silas hit .395 for the state champs with 23 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He hit the only homer of any state championship series in Jacksonville.

Awards: Class 6A Hitter of the Year
Statistics: Mizell hit .500 with a 1.008 slugging percentage. He had 15 home runs and 58 RBIs to go along with 45 runs scored. He also had 16 doubles.

Awards: Class 7A Hitter of the Year
Statistics: Yoxtheimer hit .444 with 30 RBIs and 40 runs scored for the Red Devils. He also had 19 stolen bases. He was 6-2 on the mound with a save.

Awards: Class 3A Player of the Year
Statistics: Edwards hit .441 for Lauderdale County with 15 doubles, 30 RBIs and 30 runs scored. On the mound, he was 8-2 with 92 strikeouts and a 0.90 ERA. He also had three saves.

Statistics: Alton was 9-1 with a 1.36 ERA for the Warriors. He struck out 76 batters in 72 innings and allowed just 14 earned runs.
Cale Tittle, Lynn
Class: Junior
Position: Shortstop, catcher, pitcher
College: Uncommitted
Awards: Class 1A Player of the Year
Statistics: Tittle hit .550 with 7 HRs, 11 doubles, 46 RBIs and 34 runs scored. On the mound, he was 9-1 with a save and a 1.47 ERA. He struck out 116 batters and walked just 13.
