On Saturday night a man was found dead in a road in Morgan County, apparently struck by a vehicle, according to Decatur Police.

Decatur Police, Priceville Police, Priceville Fire Department and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office all responded to call at the 500 block of South Bethel Road.

The victim has been identified as a male, Mareya Dequece Hannah, 43. He appeared to have been struck by a vehicle while attempting to gather items out of the road, police said.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Hannah was still on scene when police and fire arrived. The incident is still under investigation, said Irene Cardenas-Martinez, Public Information Liaison for the Decatur Police Department.
