Live updates: Alabama and Wake Forest begin NCAA Super Regional
Alabama baseball is 18 innings away from its first College World Series this century. In the way? The No. 1 team in the country.
The 16-seeded Crimson Tide will play the one-seed Demon Deacons in Game 1 of the NCAA Super Regionals in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Saturday. First pitch was originally scheduled for 11 a.m. CST, but was pushed two hours for a “non-game-related medical emergency,” according to UA’s Twitter account.
The contest will start at 1:15 on ESPN+. Follow along for live updates.

No surprises for either side. Alabama will roll with sophomore Luke Holman on the mound and keep the same lineup that posted eight runs last weekend against Boston College. Meanwhile, the Demon Deacons will start 14-0 Rhett Lowder, one of the best pitchers in the country. The Wake Forest lineup also boats five players with a batting average of at least .340.
