Pensacola woman reportedly bit a deputy, so he punched her in the eye
A Pensacola woman is facing multiple charges after she reportedly bit an Escambia County (Fla.) deputy during her arrest Thursday.
WEAR in Pensacola reports deputies were called to a residence on Gettysburg Drive Thursday morning after a call advising Scott was causing a disturbance. A police report indicated Scott already had existing warrants for aggravated assault and trespassing.
When deputies arrived at the residence, they attempted to detain Scott, but she resisted. They were ultimately able to wrestle her to the ground and place handcuffs on her, but when they tried to place her in the back of a patrol car, she again resisted.
When one of the deputies tried to push Scott into the vehicle, she bit him on his right bicep, breaking the skin, according to the report.
The report also says the deputy then pushed Scott’s face away from him and punched her in the eye with a closed fist.
Scott is in the Escambia County Jail under $106,000 bond — $100,000 of that for the assault on an officer charge — but due to her prior warrants Scott is ineligible to post bond and will remain incarcerated.
