12-year-old girl dies days after being pulled unresponsive from Birmingham pool
A 12-year-old girl who was pulled unresponsive from a pool at an east Birmingham home on Sunday has died, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Truth Archie died at Children’s of Alabama Thursday at 10:45 a.m.
Truth was rushed to the hospital Sunday about 3 p.m. from a home on Charles Court in the Roebuck area.
Fire medics began CPR on the scene. Truth was in critical condition at the time of transport.
BFRS Battalion Chief Jack Hickes on Sunday said the incident happened in an above-ground pool at a private home.
An examination will be performed today to assist with determining the cause and manner of death, the coroner’s office said.
