NCAA Super Regionals: How to get Alabama-Wake Forest tickets

Alabama travels to Winston-Salem for the NCAA Super Regionals to face No. 1 overall seed Wake Forest on Saturday, June 10. Tickets are available for the best-of-three series at Vivid Seats and StubHub.

Alabama (43-19) posted an 8-0 shutout win over 24th-ranked Boston College on Sunday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium in Tuscaloosa to advance to NCAA Super Regional play.

The Tide used a four-run first to put the game out of reach early. Alabama added single tallies in the second and third to go with a two-run eighth for the 8-0 victory. The early offense provided Jacob McNairy (7-2) with all the help he would need. In his final start at The Joe, the right-hander tossed 7.2 frames and allowed just three hits and three walks to go with a career-high 11 strikeouts for his team-high tying seventh victory.

The Crimson Tide swept the Tuscaloosa Regional with wins over Nicholls State, Troy and Boston College to advance to its first super regional since 2010. It will play for its first trip to the CWS since 1999.

Waiting in Winston-Salem is the top-ranked team in the nation. The Demon Deacons are 50-10 after outscoring opponents 48-7 in the three games needed to win its regional.

Wake Forest has proved worthy of its No. 1 seed, and then some.

Tom Walter’s Demon Deacons outscored their first three opponents 48-7, batted .376, had a .503 on-base percentage, allowed 4.76 hits per nine innings and struck out 50.

Pierce Bennett, whose .330 batting average entering the tournament was fourth-best on the team, batted .769 to lead all players in regionals. Justin Johnson drove in 13 runs. Seth Keener led all pitchers in regionals with 13 strikeouts.

Brock Wilken and Nick Kurtz combined for 50 of the team’s 110 homers through the ACC Tournament. Neither hit one in the regional.
