FOX lining up Mark Ingram for TV role, report says

FOX Sports’ “Big Noon Kickoff” is preparing to part ways with Reggie Bush, the New York Post reported on Thursday, and has targeted another Heisman Trophy-winning running back – former Alabama All-American Mark Ingram – for the vacancy.

Bush worked on a one-year contract on FOX Sports’ Saturday college football program in 2022. Ingram played on a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints last season.

So far, neither has been re-signed.

If Bush isn’t retained by the show, the New York Post reported, FOX Sports is ready to sign Ingram.

In the 2019 season, Ingram earned Pro Bowl recognition for the third time as he ran for 1,018 yards and 10 touchdowns on 202 carries and caught 26 passes for 247 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games.

In the three seasons since, Ingram has run for 1,086 yards and five touchdowns on 294 carries and caught 49 passes for 280 yards with no touchdowns in 35 games. But in April, Ingram said he was looking forward to a 13th NFL season because he had “more juice in the tank.”

In 2022, Ingram had a season-low 62 rushing attempts and missed seven of the New Orleans Saints’ final nine games because of a knee injury.

During his NFL career, Ingram has run for 8,111 yards and 65 touchdowns on 1,817 carries and caught 303 passes for 2,125 yards and 10 touchdowns.

“Big Noon” is hosted by Rob Stone joined by Bush, Urban Meyer, Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart.

Ingram worked as the sideline reporter for Alabama’s radio network during the Crimson Tide’s 45-20 victory over Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl on Dec. 31.

In 2009, Ingram won the Heisman Trophy for Alabama’s undefeated BCS national championship team as he ran for 1,658 yards and 17 touchdowns on 271 carries.

Bush won the Heisman Trophy for the 2005 season with Southern Cal.
