Enviva, which we spotlighted in great depth yesterday in this spot, had a big jump for the second-straight day, rising 5.1%.

Area notable Computer Programs and Systems Inc. also had a good day, increasing 1.6%. Based in Mobile, it is a provider of health care solutions and services for community hospitals.

Synovus was high up on our list again, gaining 3.7%, as were fellow banks Regions (2.0%) and PNC (.9%).

GE climbed .6% to close at $106.08, just off its 52-week high of $106.71.

ArcelorMittal was a modest gainer at .3%. The Luxembourg-based steel manufacturing corporation has a steel processing plant — a 50/50 joint venture with Nippon Steel Corp. — in Calvert, Alabama.
