Game time, TV set for Alabama baseballâs super regional
The path is set for Alabama baseball’s super regional trip to North Carolina.
The Winston-Salem Super Regional will begin at 11 a.m. CT Saturday and will air live on ESPN. It pits the Crimson Tide with the No. 1 overall-seeded Wake Forest.
Game times and TV are still to be determined for Game 2 on Sunday or Game 3 on Monday, should it be necessary. The winner of the best-of-three series will head to Omaha for the College World Series.
Alabama (43-19) swept the Tuscaloosa Regional with wins over Nicholls State, Troy and Boston College to advance to its first super regional since 2010. It will play for its first trip to the CWS since 1999.
Waiting in Winston-Salem is the top-ranked team in the nation. The Demon Deacons are 50-10 after outscoring opponents 48-7 in the three games needed to win its regional.
