Mobile police have released the name of the man killed when his vehicle collided with a train last Saturday.

James Lett Jr., 29, died in the accident, which took place just before 10:30 Saturday morning at a crossing on Forest Hill Drive.

Lett’s blue Nissan vehicle was virtually destroyed from the impact.

Lett was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by Mobile police and CSX officials.
