Suspect arrested in Mobile convenience store shooting that killed 1, injured 2

A suspect was taken into custody Wednesday and is being charged with attempted murder in connection with a March shooting in the parking lot of a Mobile convenience store that left one man dead and two others wounded, police said.

Deanta Dubose is being charged with the attempted murder of a 20-year-old male victim of the March 11 shooting at the Quick Stop Food Mart at 5318 Overlook Rd., said Cpl. Katrina Frazier.

Willie Thomas Jr., 19, was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting while another 19-year-old male victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

No other arrests have been announced.
