Montana Fouts named 4-time All-American, helps Tide set record

Seven is a historic number for Alabama softball.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its All-American teams on Wednesday night ahead of the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. For the fourth time, it included Montana Fouts.

It’s a historic mark for the Tide pitcher. Her inclusion gives Alabama seven four-time All-Americans, the most of any school. Fouts was a first-team honoree in 2021 and 2023 and a second-team selection in 2019 and 2022.

This season, Fouts had added to her all-time career. She racked up her 100th win in her final game at Rhoads Stadium last weekend to help Alabama win its super-regional.

Five-seed Alabama will begin the WCWS at 11 p.m. CST when it plays four-seed Tennessee.
