A Huntsville police officer is currently on administrative leave until further notice after his arrest over the weekend.

WAFF is reporting that, according to an Opelika police spokesperson, D’Marius Howard was arrested Saturday at 2:20 a.m.

He was charged with driving under the influence.

A Huntsville police spokesperson said Howard has been an officer in the department since February of 2020.
