Search underway for 26-year-old man missing from Talladega since Oct. 5

A search is underway for a Talladega man who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Nelson Bond, 26, was last seen Oct. 5 in Talladega driving a bronze 2005 Nissan Maxima with Alabama license plate 61A456T.

Bond suffers from schizophrenia and is currently not taking his medication, according to Central Alabama Crime Stoppers.

Authorities said Bond is very close to his mother, and it is unusual for him not to be in contact with her. She is his only source of financial assistance.

Bond’s family has received information that he may be in the Los Angeles, however they have not been able to verify this information.

Bond is described as a white male, 6-feet, 1-inch tall, weighing about 135 pounds He has brown hair and blue eyes.
