Live updates: Alabama and Northwestern decide Women’s College World Series berth

A trip to Oklahoma City, Okla. will be booked in Rhoads Stadium on Sunday.

Five-seed Alabama (44-20) will play 12-seed Northwestern (42-12) in a winner-take-all game to decide a trip to the Women’s College World Series.

The Wildcats took game one, 3-1, while the Crimson Tide rallied Saturday night in the seventh inning to win 2-1. It’ll be a battle between UA junior Jaala Torrence and Northwestern left-handed pitcher Danielle Williams in the circle. Both Torrence and Williams have appeared in the prior two games and have been the most effective option against struggling offenses.

ESPN will air the first pitch at 3:05 CST. Follow along for updates.
