Pete Davidson sets eight show stand at Alabama comedy club, most sold-out already

One of the hottest comedians going – and one of the most famous dudes in the world – is coming to Alabama to work on new stand-up material.

Pete Davidson has scheduled a four-night run at Huntsville comedy club Stand Up Live, from July 13-16.

There will be two performances each night, at 6 and 8:15 p.m.

Six of those eight Davidson shows in Huntsville are already sold-out, according to the venue website. However, tickets remain for the late shows on the opening and closing nights, July 13 and 16.

Tickets are $43 (plus fees) via huntsville.standuplive.com. As is standard at many comedy clubs, there’s also a “two-item minimum” for those attending, meaning each ticket holder must order at least two drinks and/or food items while at Stand Up Live for the show.

Davidson is mostly known for his excellent run on “Saturday Night Live,” from 2014 to 2022.

The New York native has also starred in films like 2022 black comedy/horror romp “Bodies Bodies Bodies” and semi-autobiographical 2020 Judd Apatow dramedy “The King of Staten Island.”

Davidson is currently starring in the Peacock streaming service’s show “Bupkis,” a stylized version of Davidson’s life, a la Larry David’s HBO show “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Besides being a talented comedian, actor and writer (his writing credits include “Bupkis” and “King of Staten Island”), Davidson’s dated more than his share of, as “Cobra Kai” character Johnny Lawrence would say, “super-hot babes.”

A lanky 6-foot-3, Davidson has emerged as the Tommy Lee of his generation. He’s romanced the likes of popstar Ariana Grande, actors Margaret Qualley, Kate Beckinsdale and Chase Sui Wonder, the model Kaia Gerber, and, most famously, reality TV superstar Kim Kardashian.

His Huntsville stand-up performances, billed as “Pete Davidson—Working Out New Material With Friends,” will be a “phone-free experience,” according to Stand Up Live’s website.

“Use of phones, smart watches and accessories,” the website states, “will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event.”

Performers ranging from rock musician Jack White to comedian Chris Rock have previously utilized similar phone-free policies for their own live performances/tours.
