Hoover-based Lake Homes Realty has formed a new company showcasing beach property.

Beach-Homes.com has much the same sensibility as the Lake Homes Realty website, offering a central location for more than 68,000 coastal properties in 14 states, from Texas to New Hampshire.

Glenn Phillips, CEO of both companies, said creating Beach Homes Realty was a natural progression after spending the last 10 years building Lake Homes Realty, which has been ranked among the fastest growing companies in the U.S. for six years by Inc. Magazine.

“Lake Homes Realty has grown into the largest lake-focused real estate brokerage in the country,” Phillips said. “Beach Homes Realty accesses MLS data from these 14 states each day, so those searching beach homes and lots will have the latest offerings. Instead of having to search separate websites or navigate through non-coastal properties, we merged our targeting technology expertise and niche real estate specialization to streamline the process.”

Florida dominates the website’s current listings, with almost 42,000 homes or lots across 185 beach communities.

Next is Texas, with almost 7,500 listings. Alabama is eighth, with 1,647 listings along 13 beach communities.

In April, Lake Homes Realty moved into its new Hoover headquarters, occupying two-and-a-half floors at 500 Corporate Parkway. The space has 48,864 square feet and an additional 5,881 square feet of studio space, more than doubling the previous space at Southlake in Hoover.
