Bryce Young makes first appearance in his NFL uniform

One of the highlights of the National Football League Player Association’s annual Rookie Premiere is the photo session with Panini America.

The presenting sponsor of the event uses the gathering of the NFL’s “marketable new stars” to take photographs of the rookies for its trading-card sets and collect autographs and memorabilia for inclusion, too.

The photographs taken at the Rookie Premiere are often the first of the players in their new NFL uniforms.

The 29th annual Rookie Premiere this weekend in Los Angeles gathered 45 players from the 2023 NFL Draft, and they took part in the photo ritual.

That included former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers.

Four other players with Alabama football roots also attend this weekend’s event:

· The Houston Texans selected Will Anderson Jr., an Alabama linebacker, with the third choice in the NFL Draft on April 27.

· The Detroit Lions selected Jahmyr Gibbs, an Alabama running back, with the 12th choice in the NFL Draft on April 27.

· The Texans selected Tank Dell, a Houston wide receiver, with the 69th choice in the NFL Draft on April 28. Dell played at Alabama A&M as a freshman.

· The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Tank Biggs, an Auburn running back, with the 88th choice in the NFL Draft on April 28.

The union’s annual orientation features seminars on financial planning and brand building and connects the players with NFLPA business partners that will help them “develop their personal brands and careers off the field.”
