Liberty transfer edge rusher Stephen Sings V commits to Auburn.

Auburn coach Hugh Freeze and defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett are reuniting with Liberty transfer defensive end and edge rusher Stephen Sings V on the Plains.

Sings announced his commitment to join Freeze and Garrett via Twitter.

Sings had 3.5 sacks and 13 tackles last season at Liberty. He posted 48 tackles, seven sacks, four pass deflections, and a fumble recovery during his career at Liberty in 25 games.

The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Charlotte, North Carolina native is the seventh player to transfer into the program since April 8th, when the spring football finished with the A-Day scrimmage.

Quarterback Payton Thorne (Michigan State), wide receivers Caleb Burton (Ohio State) and Jyaire Shorter (North Texas), offensive lineman Jaden Muskrat (Tulsa), Jalen McLeod (Appalachian State), and linebacker Larry Nixon III (North Texas) are the other transfers to come since the end of spring practice.

Sings is the 19th player to transfer to Auburn since Hugh Freeze took over as head coach.
