Two people died Friday in what is believed to be a murder-suicide in Irondale.

Police were dispatched about 9:15 a.m. to a report of a person down inside a residence in the 300 block of Meadows Drive. That location is an apartment complex off Edwards Lake Road.

Once there, they found two people dead inside the apartment unit, said Irondale police Lt. Jason Hill.

Hill said the two were in a dating relationship.

Their names are being withheld pending notification of their relatives. No additional information was immediately released.
