Moments missed as Tennessee stormed field: Alabama player chasing fan, Vol on Vol violence & Greg Byrne

It was pandemonium Saturday night at Neyland Stadium after Tennessee defeated then-No. 3 Alabama 52-49 on a game-ending field goal.

You’ve heard and read about. You may have seen some video, but you haven’t seen it through the eyes of AL.com’s Wes Sinor.

He had boots on the ground amidst the chaos, and his camera caught more than you might have imagined.

There was an Alabama player chasing a Tennessee fan. There were Vols fans fighting. Security was trying – with no luck – to keep fans from the goal posts. Fans didn’t exactly stick the landing when jumping down to the field from the stands.

Then, of course, there was Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne.

All of it is caught in the 2:22 minute video with this post.

We should point out that this video doesn’t have near the serious tone as the video of what appears to be Alabama’s Jermaine Burton striking a fan.

Yeah, if you’re an Alabama fan, you’ve seen enough, but if you truly want to get an idea of how crazy the scene was Saturday night, it’s worth your time.
