Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 72-year-old man who has been missing from Birmingham for more than a week.

Birmingham police issued a critical missing alert Thursday for Earnest White.

He was last seen May 10 in the 1500 block of First Avenue West. He has not been heard from since then.

White walks with a cane and previously suffered a stroke. He was last known to be wearing a blue jacket and black pants.

He is 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 195 pounds.

Authorities said White has been known to walk around the Lakeshore Walmart area.
