The City of Calera will be working off of a nine-chapter comprehensive plan, planCalera, to guide their planning commission and city council’s decision making over the next twelve years.

This plan could also result in a 1% city tax increase to fund some of its projects.

Some key points of this 15-year plan, which was adopted in 2021, include the addition of mixed-use trails and greenspaces as well as several development projects focused on bringing people to Calera’s downtown.
