A body found in a pond in a small community northeast of Mobile has been sent to a forensic lab in Mobile to determine the cause of death, according to a report from WSFA.

The body was found about 5 p.m. Sunday in a pond off County Road 30 in the Burnt Corn community of Conecuh County, according to Conecuh County coroner Michael Lambert.

Lambert was not available for additional comment Monday afternoon.

The identity of the body has not been released, according to the report, and an autopsy will determine the cause of death, Lambert said.
