Man facing 53 child porn-related counts for allegedly taping minors at Alabama Walmart

An Alabama man arrested in February for allegedly recording minors in a Walmart bathroom has been indicted on 53 child-porn related charges, according to police and court records.

The 53 counts, ranging from producing pornography with minors to aggravated criminal surveillance, stem from Cullman police’s arrest of Ethan Edward Richardson in February, the department announced Monday. All of the charges are felonies.

A Cullman County grand jury indicted Richardson, 25, of Cullman, on Thursday, court records showed.

Richardson allegedly videotaped minors in the bathroom of the Walmart on Olive Street in Cullman without their consent and “for the purposes of sexual gratification,” according to the indictment.

The Cullman man allegedly victimized 19 minors, some as young as 2 years old.

His bail was set at $625,000.
