DeVonta Smith ranks top 5 Alabama receivers of all time; Former Tide stars chime in

Alabama has had some elite receivers come through the Crimson Tide program over the years.

But who is the best?

Philadelphia Eagles receiver and former Tide star DeVonta Smith recently took a stab at ranking the top 5 Alabama receivers of all time.

Keep in mind Smith, a Heisman Trophy winner, is the school’s all-time leader for receptions (235), receiving yards (3,965) and touchdown catches (46). Smith put on a clinic in Alabama’s COVID-shorten 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship season.

He was also on the receiving end of one of the most memorable passes in Alabama history. He caught the game-winning touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa on second-and-26 against Georgia in the 2018 CFP national championship game.

Smith gave Julio Jones the top billing, followed by Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley. At No. 4, Smith takes Jerry Jeudy before giving himself the No. 5 spot.

Some former Alabama stars jumped into the debate on social media.
