One person was injured Sunday afternoon in an accidental shooting at a north Alabama service station off Interstate 65.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at the Mobil gas station on Alabama 36.

Authorities did not say at what time agencies were called to the scene on an accidental shooting.

Investigators later determined a handgun fell to the ground at the property and fired one bullet.

The shot grazed a person’s chest.

According to authorities, the victim, who was not identified, “declined medical treatment.”
