Star Wars Day: Google Grogu or Baby Yoda and the Force takes over

On a search engine, far, far, far away …

To celebrate the big day, Grogu, better known as Baby Yoda, will assist you with your Google needs on the most Star Wars of all days.

Simply type “Grogu” or “Baby Yoda” into the Google search bar and the cute character made famous on “The Mandalorian” on Disney Plus will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Grogu, once you click on him, will use The Force to help with your search – and take down the search page – en route to all the answers you are searing for.

May the Fourth Be With You.

A Google rep told Variety the Grogu search Easter egg was not sponsored, but the company did work with Disney to make sure “that we were depicting everything accurately.”

“Grogu is such a playful character and has amassed a huge following,” said Lucas Bullen, Google’s lead engineer on the project. “We wanted to recognize that and let fans interact with Grogu while he is practicing his Force skills on the Search page. We always enjoy adding these sorts of experiences for fans to stumble upon while using Google Search and as a Star Wars fan myself, working on this Easter Egg was a real treat.”
