Man accused of taking photos underneath the skirts of female shoppers at the Galleria Belk without their knowledge
A Birmingham man is under arrest after Hoover police say he was taking inappropriate pictures of women at the Riverchase Galleria.
Brandon Dupree Lima, 28, is charged with first-degree voyeurism, said Lt. Daniel Lowe.
Officers were dispatched April 27 to Belk at the Galleria. Officers made contact with Lima within minutes, Lowe said.
The subsequent investigation determined the suspect had taken several photos underneath the skirts of female shoppers without their knowledge or consent, Lowe said.
Officers were able to make contact with one victim inside the store but believe there may be many others dating back several months.
Lima was booked into the Hoover City Jail, and then transferred to the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $10,000.
Lowe said because of the sensitive nature of the case, no additional information is being released. The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone who believes they were victimized by Lima is asked to call Det. Kevin Morris at 205-444-7615.
