1 killed, 2 hurt in multi-vehicle wreck on I-65 in Cullman County

A man was killed and two other men were injured Monday morning in a multi-vehicle wreck on I-65 in Cullman County involving two tractor-trailers and two trucks, authorities said Tuesday night.

David A. Moore, 37, was driving a 2018 Ram 3500 that struck a 2012 Freightliner tractor-trailer around 8:15 a.m. Monday on I-65 near the 318-mile marker, about five miles south of Falkville, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.

After the initial impact, the Freightliner struck a 2021 GMC 2500 and then struck a 2017 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, said Bailey.

Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men who were passengers in the Ram were injured and taken to Cullman Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Further information is unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate the wreck.
