Driver indicted in 2022 head-on DUI crash that killed Birmingham woman

A motorist has been indicted in a deadly 2022 DUI crash in east Birmingham.

A Jefferson County grand jury indicted Tiffany Jacquelle Roseman, 28, on reckless manslaughter, according to newly released court records. She is charged in the Jan. 30, 2022, death of 36-year-old Asia Rashay Heard.

The wreck happened at 5:50 a.m. that Sunday in the 200 block of Killough Drive.

Authorities said Roseman was driving a Ford Mustang southbound on Killough Drive when the vehicle crossed over into Heard’s lane and struck her northbound Kia Optima head-on.

Heard was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:14 a.m.

The indictment against Roseman said she recklessly caused the death of Heard by “driving over the posted speed limit and/or crossing the center line and/or while under the influence of alcohol and/or while under the influence of cannabis.”

Roseman was initially arrested on the charge in October and released on $30,000 bond. A trial date hasn’t yet been set.
