One man was killed and two other people critically injured in a single-vehicle crash in Gulf Shores early Monday.

Gulf Shores police said the crash occurred bout 2:44 a.m. on State Park Road inside Gulf State Park. Officers arriving on the scene, they located all three victims, all with apparent serious injuries.

A male was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene, with the other two victims transported to a local hospital. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Gulf Shores’ Traffic Homicide Division is investigating the cause of the crash. State Park Road is open to traffic.
