Here are some events to learn and have fun in coastal Alabama this week
Heading into May, this week’s list of events includes Baldwin County’s severe weather preparedness town hall and the centennial celebration of the Foley Library.
And, celebrating its 19th year is the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival, which will feature over 50 balloons from across the country. Learn about hot air balloons and celebrate at OWA Parks and Resort. Check out all of the fun and educational events on this week’s list.
Severe Weather Preparedness Town Hall; May 2, 4 p.m.-8 p.m., Baldwin County Coliseum, Robertsdale, AL
Put on by the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency, this town hall will feature events designed to help families prepare for severe weather in coastal Alabama. Baldwin County Commission chairman Skip Gruber will speak, as well as Zach Hood with the Baldwin County EMA and Jessica Chace with the National Weather Service in Mobile.
