Shooting at Fairfield Waffle House leaves 2 wounded
An investigation is underway after two people were injured in a shooting at the Waffle House in Fairfield.
The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Monday at the restaurant on Bessemer Super Highway.
Jefferson County sheriff’s Lt. Joni Money said few details surrounding the shooting were immediately available.
One victim, an adult male, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported from Waffle House to UAB Hospital.
A second victim, also an adult male, drove to a nearby Chevron on Bessemer Road in Birmingham. He was taken from the gas station to UAB Hospital as well.
