Decatur woman charged after unresponsive 4-year-old in home with 200 pills given Narcan
A Decatur woman has been charged with chemical endangerment of a child after police and medics discovered an unresponsive four-year-old child.
The incident happened today, according to Decatur police, at a residence in the 400 block of 14th Ave. N.W
EMS personnel administered Narcan to the child and she was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital.
At the hospital, the child showed a positive result for fentanyl, police said.
Two additional children were also inside the residence, and police discovered about 200 pills.
Erica Brittany Jerry, 26, of Decatur, was charged with three counts of chemical endangerment of a child, as well as one count of drug trafficking.
Jerry was booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $90,000 bond.
