The first unknown of the NFL Draft came Thursday night with No. 2 overall pick by Houston. The Texans selected Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud. His Houston jersey is now available at Fanatics.

“God has battle tested me,” Stroud said after being selected on Thursday. “… Everything that I have been through has prepared me for this moment.”

Stroud’s pre-draft process took a bit of a hit when it was revealed an 18 percent on the S2 Cognitive Test. That’s didn’t seem to bother the Texans.

Stroud responded to the low score, saying test taking does not reflect what teams that had him for visits know what he is capable of.

“I’m a football player. … I’m not an S2 taker,” Stroud said, per NFL.com. “But shout out to S2, man, they probably have a good system, what they do, no diss to them. But I know who I am, and I know what I can do on that field. And I’ll do that at the next level.”
