South Huntsville residents have been spotting alligators floating around in ponds and other locations in recent weeks near the Hays Farm development and Redstone Arsenal.

Residents at a south Huntsville town hall meeting last week told Councilwoman Jennie Robinson there are plenty “to take pictures of” and asked about their possible relocation.

Robinson said her daughter was one of those taking photos when she was out for a walk recently.

“She sent me one of those and said ‘I thought you might want to see this,’ ” Robinson said.

Robinson, who represents south Huntsville on the council, said city officials met with Alabama Department of Agriculture officials a couple of weeks ago.
