Woman charged with murder after argument turns deadly in northeast Jefferson County
A suspect has been charged in a Friday-night killing of a woman at a northeast Jefferson County apartment complex.
Carli Rai Dunlap, 25, is charged with murder. Jefferson County sheriff’s officials have not released the name of the victim.
Deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Creek Lane N.E. just before 7:30 p.m.
Lt. Joni Money said the two women were in an altercation when Dunlap fired a shot.
The victim, a mother of two, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Dunlap remained at the crime and was taken into custody.
She booked into the county jail early Saturday and remains held without bond.
