14-year-old killed, 2 other teens injured in Lee County rollover crash
A 14-year-old was killed in a rollover crash in Lee County.
The wreck happened at 2:45 a.m. Sunday on Lee County Road 179, about 15 miles east of Opelika.
Alabama State Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said the teen was a passenger in a 2019 GMC Arcadia that left the road, struck several trees and overturned.
King said the teen was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash. The teen was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
The driver and another passenger, both 15 years old, were injured.
Troopers do not release names of juvenile victims.
