A 19-year-old Decatur man is being held on $30,000 bond today after his arrest Sunday morning for assault.

Decatur police said the Morgan County 911 Center received a call at about 4:33 a.m. Sunday of a disturbance in the 300 block of Albert Street S.W.

According to police, the caller reported in Spanish that a man had stabbed his brother and was trying to get inside the residence.

Officers arriving found a man inside the residence with multiple stab wounds to the face.

The victim was taken to Huntsville Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

A roommate, identified as Jossel Franco, 19, of Decatur, has been charged with second degree assault and booked into the Morgan County Jail.
